March 19, 2018

Bubba,
It was a good week.  We had the Ellsworth boys on Monday night.  They are excited for you to come home.  Oliver (who is the cutest little chunky monkey) said he was going to come play with you every day. You will adore him.  He loves to be held and he is killing me.  He weighs like 40lbs.  He always goes and feeds with dad.  We went to Farmer’s Corner and bought them poop boots.  With Bennett doing a pig and all and Olie going to feed…
Tuesday Halle had tumbling and Annie had to work.  Dad and I went to Calls (they just opened) while Halle was at tumbling.
Wednesday Halle had a dermatologist appointment and then both girls had physicals for cheer tryouts.  Annie got some fake lashes on for Prom.  Then, we had self-defense class at young womens.  It was kinda cool.
Thursday I had literacy night.  Annie and Mal went over to Logan to have Brad’s wife do a spray tan.  Dad and Bug stayed home.
Friday I taught both of my dual classes.  Senortia Driesel took a day off and no sub showed up for her.  I was the lucky recipient of 60 students.  Crazy!  Actually, for that many kids they were pretty awesome!  Then Dad and I got salmon and steaks to cook.  Halle went to Sami’s house to sleep over and Annie worked.  Bott showed up in time to help us eat and then watched a movie with me and dad.  What a kid. Saturday was PROM.  Annie went to the Peak for her day date.  She had really fun.  Then of course it took her all day to get ready.  I painted Annie’s room all day and night.  We did one wall as a chalk board wall.  Grammy came out and she and Halle hung some pictures in her room.  We went to the promenade at 4:00.  Mike and Annie tell everyone they are going to get married.  He got a ring pop and twirled her around bent down on one knee and gave her the ring.  It was cute.  Chase Earnest and McCall Anderson rode hover boards out.  It was cute.   I went to bed at 11:30 and Annie’s room was painted but a mess!  I laid there and worried until she got home at 12:30.  She had really fun!
I LOVE you!  Do you know how excited I am to have you home?

Love you lots Bubba!

Mommy

Mom:  I was getting worried because you hadn't e-mailed.  Where were you?

Cam:  Playing basketball.

Mom:  Did you get the drama taken care of?  Did you baptize the mom and daughter?

Cam: We did a zone meeting and talked about the problems. I hope it works.  The mom and daughter are acting all weird now.

Mom:It would be hard.  They just need to feel the spirit whether it is now or later.

Did you like the prom pictures and everything?
What about all the college/job emails I sent
Cam:  What do you think about those jobs?  Will you look into what I have left to do to be a radiology tech and as quick as possible and then continue on in school, while working?
Mom:  Yep, tell me about your week.
Cam:  I gotta go.  Thanks for your help.  Love you.
March 11, 2018

Hey everyone. This week was good. We were able to get a lot done and teach a lot of people. We have been doing quite a few divisions with the members of the zones and the APs which was way fun. This zone is good but there is a lot of gossiping and hating of other missionaries. So Crowley and I are going to do a zone meeting and try to work all that out. It is so dumb but we have got to work it out. We have been doing a Book of Mormon in the parks and making a a ton of contacts with the zone. It has been a good experience. The stake is helping us out so much!
We cooked crabs the other night and it was so cool.
My good pal Elder Dunn and I,  we are like best bros here and always do stuff together.
are chapel is open in the middle with plants so thats cool

Bubba,
This Monday we didn’t have school.  I just worked on things around the house some more.  Annie taught cheer to Sami, Hayley, and Halle.  Dad had to work.
> On Tuesday I worked.   Halle had tumbling at the peak but Annie took her.  We watched the Bachelor final too.  Did I tell you Nicole went to the women tell all?
> On Wednesday we had the parent cheer meeting. There are around 30 girls trying out.  I don’t know how many they will take.  Last year they only took like 20 and the year before they took closer to 30.  I am excited for Halle to be with Annie. Annie is excited too.
> Thursday was grammy’s birthday.  I went and got Papa Murphy’s, pop, and ice cream and dropped off to Val’s so Mark could start cooking it.  Val had already made a cake.  It was pretty fun!
> Friday dad, Halle, and I went to Sam’s club.  I had bought Halle a new bed frame on Classifieds and she needed queen mattresses to fit.  We found memory foam ones at Sam’s Club.  We got our monthly groceries too.  Then Halle went to Anika Quayle’s house.  Annie worked at Maddox til late.  After I took Halle to Anika’s after Sam’s Club and got home a car pulled in behind me.  It was Macie and Darius.  It was sooo good to see and hug him.  He’s changed but at the same time he hasn’t.
> Saturday I got a lot accomplished.  I finally got some pictures hung in the Kitchen and living room.  I’m not done but it is getting better.  We still need new carpet though.  We got Halle’s bed taken down.  When dad got off work he and I watched “The Italian Job” and sat in the hot tub.  Annie worked 11:30 a.m. to 11:00 at night plus from 9-11 she taught the girls cheer again.  She was so tired.  Halle went and played pickle ball with Hayley, Wyatt, and Carson and then went to Hayley’s to watch a movie.
> Today Christopher came and got Halle’s old bed for Hadlee.  We gave him the electric blanket, comforter and all.  She was pretty excited.  Then we headed to Darius’ homecoming.  Dad stood in the back in his uniform.  He did a good job.  There were a lot of people there but not as many young kiddos. Both sets of grandparents came.  Grammy and Grandpa John came and ate too. It was at the Hardy barn.  I took a salad.  I talked to Nicole.  She is a cutie.  I am going to take the girls and grammy and go have her do a facial on us.  If we got to the school she gets credit and it is cheaper than anywhere else.  She said she really likes it.
> I LOVE you so much.  Annie and I are headed to a fireside that President Mecham and Robin are talking at tonight.  I am sure it will be great.  This next weekend is prom.  It seems like it was just yours and now I am getting Annie ready to go…  Be careful Cam and remember your mom loves you and would do the world for you.  Speaking of I am supposed to call Laurie Merrill this week to talk about scheduling classes and getting your scholarship money etc.  LOVE YOU LOTS

Mom:  Did you know Elder Kaden Hillstead from Springville?

Cam: Yes, why?

Mom:  I teach his cousin.  Something clicked when I said Maceio and she said my cousin just got home from there.  I text her mom and so she text her nephew and yep, he said you were a good missionary and he like you.

March 5, 2018

Hey everyone. So this week had its ups and downs. Wednesday was zone conferences and I was able to give a training with my companion Elder Crowley that went good. Later that night we had a meeting with the stake president about the stake, the missionaries and how we could help.  It went really good.  Friday morning someone broke into our house and stole some stuff from the 2 Brazilians but nothing was stole from me or my comp so that was good. We saw the video from the camera from the store below us of them entering at 4 am and coming out with the bags hahahaha. gotta love Brazil.

I miss you so much Bubba.  Can you believe Darius gets home on Thursday.  His homecoming is Sunday!

This week was pretty good.  Last night we got pounded with snow.  Dad didn't get home until 5a.m.  It is supposed to warm right up though and so I don't think it will last long. Annie went with her friends after school for her birthday to Zupas.  (BTW, it is still as good as it was when you left...  Neves loved it too)  Then, Halle had made another cake other than her family party one and they came out and had cake and ice cream.  Bott came out too.

Halle is still practicing and preparing for cheer tryouts.  She will make it but I am glad she is still putting forth effort.  They want her to do track too.  They're basically begging and they have called and asked me to talk to her. I guess we will see.

I painted the bathroom.  The pink and white stripes are gone.  The house is going to look so good when you come home.  Especially because you're in it.

I will send you some pictures that President Taylor's wife posted on Facebook.  They seem like good people.  That is cool Elder Rose is the assistant to the president.  I saw that his grandma died.  That is too bad for him to be gone and this to happen.  Grammy hurts everywhere.  Marge found out her back is broke and is going to have surgery on it.  She will have to be in the hospital for three days and then in a rehabilitation center for a week.  She is upset about it all.  It is hard to see them get old.  BTW, it is Grammy's birthday on Thursday, so give her a happy birthday shout out.

We are out of school today because it is the trimester change.  Only one more trimester and I have made it through two teaching years without my baby boy home.  That is way too long to do to a mama.

Lexie was at church today.  It was good to see her.

It was also Coco's birthday last week.  She is 9 years old.  Oh ya and don't forget Reese...  He is nine too.

Tell me about your investigators and some ward families etc.  I can tell you're happy.  Cameron you are my sweet baby boy that has grown in to such an awesome man.  You are going to make a wonderful husband and dad.  ALWAYS put Heavenly Father first and then you and your family will be taken care of.  You make me proud and I can't wait to hug my son!

Love you,
Mom, momma, mommy

Cameron:  That sounds like an awesome week.  I am doing good. Yeah, so funny story.  Someone broke into our house at 4a.m. and robbed us.  ha!ha!

Mom: What? did you see them?

Cam:  So, there are 2 doors and the neighbor locks the lower door but he didn't come home, so they broke in and we didn't hear them.  Crowley and I didn't get anything taken but the Brazilians lost 600 reais and a go pro and there bags.

Mom:  You be very safe Cameron!  Lock doors and be where you are supposed to be.  I will register you in April for classes.

Cameron:  O.K., I will! Thanks I gotta go now. Love you.

Mom: You're my favorite son, Elder, boy, man... love you

February 26, 2018

Hey everyone, so this week was good. Since I am the zone leader I was able to go back to Maceio for one day for a meeting. It was a really long but quick trip, but it was good. I was bit by a little dog this week, which was pretty cool. We were able to meet some really cool people this week and get a lot of stuff done.  I also got to go back to my last area and baptize Carla’s little sister.  She asked me to and the president gave me permission.  It was pretty cool!

February 13, 2018

Cameron: Well, I got transferred.  The president called and said he got lots of e-mails from the bishop and members requesting to let me stay but he was transferring me.  But, he said the good news was I was now zone leader.  I'm not to happy about this.  I am fine but I am very sad.

Mom: I am sad for you, but so proud of you.  Zone leader is an awesome opportunity. Carla's mom sent a message saying how wonderful you are.  I told her I already knew that.  Do you leave today?

Cameron:  yeah, tonight.

Mom:  Where is it you're going?  Who is your companion again?

Cameron:  I am in Siqueira Campos with  Elder Crowley.  He is from Colorado but his family relocated to Utah while he has been out.  It will be weird to be with an American.

Mom:  Who else are you living with?

Cameron: Elder  Boteleiro and a new missionary.

Mom: Change is never easy but is always good if it comes from the big guy.  So, maybe an attitude change Cameron L.

Cameron:  ha! ha!

Mom:  Happy Valentine's Day.  I love you!

Cameron:  Happy Valentine's Day!  I love you to mommy...  I'll have Cliseanne send pictures and then can you send them to my e-mail?

Mom: YEP!  Love you!

Saying Goodbye to my Brazilian Family

February 5th

Cam:  Hi mom, it was a good week but Hadley's dad died.

Mom:  Oh man... Was he sick or old? Did you know him?

Cam:  No, he isn't married to Hadley's mom anymore.

Mom:  So, you liked your package?  I am glad since Vitor almost took a bullett sending it to you. I am curious to see who will be in our new bishopric.

Cam:  Ya, they loved the candy!

Mom: They are a great family and that Cliseann is so good to you.  Her daughters are darling.  It would be nice if you could stay another transfer.

Cam:  I love you and thanks for everything.

Mom: Oh Bubba. I really miss and love you!  Stay safe and close to Heavenly Father.

GROUP E-MAIL

SUP everyone? In February here they have carnival where everyone gets drunk and parties the whole month. So for us missionaries it is a tough month to say the least. This last week was good just working hard and dying in the Brazil summer sun.... So, funny story if you are white they think you are German here so we were in the street a drunk guy started yelling oh German and looked at me and told me he would kill me.  I started laughing. Man I love the drunks here and the funny things they do. P.S. I am still alive. Oh and we have a crazy neighbor and I am her best friend. She hugged me and kissed my forehead. She saw us in the street and chased us down to tell me hi and ask me how I was. Last night I sat in the window and talked to her about soccer ha!ha!ha! Oh Eluiza... she is like 50. ha!ha!ha!

January 29, 2018

So January has been great. We had 6 baptisms here in two weeks, which is great. It is so great to see the change in people's lives. I am loving my new area and my new companion, Elder Robeldo.

We had one more baptism which was great. His name is Emerson and he is 9 years old. I also baptized a girl that the sisters taught. She chose me after I did her interview so it was a pleasure to be part of that. Yesterday I talked in sacrament on missionary work.  It was pretty good.
