Today is the first e-mail day. It's mine and the girls 3rd day back to school. Finally, at 12:20 the e-mails started coming. It went something like this after I had asked him how it was: It's hard but can be done. The MTC is nice. I was called as a district leader, so it's cool. The language is so hard. We teach and investigator every night. It's hard to understand and speak. I just write down what I need to say. I don't like my companion and feel like I want to beat him up. But my roommates are way cool. Elder Camejo from Draper and Adamson from Idaho are like my best friends. My whole district is awesome and we are like the best of friends and family. The Brazilians are crazy. There is one that wants to marry Annie after his mission. He is 20 right now and I told him she is only 15. He said that it is ok in his country to do that. ha! The room is nice and has a great view. The weather was cold the first day but not ever since. It rained today. I went to the Sao Paulo Temple before this. It was awesome. Beans and rice everyday! I'm already sick of the food. Hopefully you can e-mail me back before I am done. I reminded him his companion is somebody's son and to be kind. He replied with well he's a nerd a ticks me off! Then he started asking about certain people e-mailing him. I figured out somehow that I had told them .com instead of .net, it made me sick to my stomach. So, I was hurrying to text people. He asked for his sisters which melted my heart. Luckily I got to them. He also really wanted to get Nicole's e-mail. She had e-mailed him Sunday but I had given her the wrong address. She didn't get my texts because she was in Lake Powell. It was all ok in the end. We got to e-mail back and forth and I was able to get the message out to a few people that he was e-mailing right then. It was great to have 2nd graders participate and write letters to him and include them in my excitement, so I didn't get fired! Cam also said: Adamson played basketball at Southern Virginia University and lived in a small town in Idaho. Elder Camejo went to Corner Canyon and wrestled. My companion ran cross country. He has a twin here going to another mission. I told him that Reese had missed him and even had to go to the vet because he was sick. He said that was funny. I told him Annie had been asked to Homecoming and he wanted to know about that. He said that one of his teachers served in the Ogden, Utah mission. He said she was way cool! He isn't in the same district as his friend Zach from Murray that he traveled with and doesn't see him to often either. He mentioned again how hilarious the Brazilians are and that two of his favorite Elders left yesterday.
I got a little serious and asked him how the MTC was. He wrote: It will be hard, I just never go outside except for basketball for an hour. I am in class from 8 until 9:30 except for meals. Please tell everyone to e-mail me, it really helps! I sleep good. It's nice to hear from Shad, Tyson, and Preston. THEN: got to go love you!
The first e-mail from our missionary and my heart was ready to burst! I can't wait until next week!!!
