September 19, 2016
It's a Monday and two days until P-day and counting.  BUT guess what?  The snail mail finally came.  Jason text me and the girls to say, "we got mail"!  I seriously wanted to run home.  I had a few stops after school and actually forgot one of them because I was so distracted.  There were a few envelopes in the mail.  One was addressed to Jason and it also had one to Cooper inside, one was addressed to the Jensen Girls and inside there was one for me, Annie, and Halle, and then there was one with our address but it was to Nicole Hurd (whose farewell was yesterday).  I could tell he had written us back after receiving some snail mail from us.  He thanked me for checking my phone for an e-mail to see if he made it to Brazil.  Little did he know that I had been checking it since about four in the morning.  ha!  I had told him how Jason and I were able to go with Nicole Hurd when she took out here endowments.  He commented how cool that was and that he wished he could have been there for the occasion. Taylor Ashcroft's mom had contacted me to get Cameron's e-mail because Taylor was leaving for Cambodia and wanted to be able to e-mail Cam.  Cam said he was able to get his e-mail and e-mail him back.  That made me happy to think of these young men that have been friends since a very young age keeping in touch during their missions. I had shared with him that one of my very dear childhood friends(well still is my friend) that had been at his farewell was so impressed by his testimony of reading the Book of Mormon that she had decided to read it.  He was excited and said that was really cool.  Candace had told Cozi that Cameron was going were the Olympics were at when they came to say goodbye. So, we would ask her where Cameron was and she would point to the sky (because they had also told her in a plane) and say Olympics. Cameron wrote that he thought that was so cute of her.  So, I really liked getting answers and comments to things from my letter but the best part came in the last three sentences.  I could feel his sincerity in the words and I knew that I would cherish this letter at some very lonely points of this journey.
Cameron ended like this:
Love you so much! Thanks for being the best!  Hope all is good! Love you!

I read a quote once stating something like mother's cannot give from a depleted source.  I think this is true about any individual not just mothers and something as simple as these sincere words just filled my heart and soul! No depletion here!!!

Cameron wrote Annie to tell her good job on the pigs at the fair.  He was also ok with her going to Homecoming.  He said the guy she was going with was cool and that he like him...  So, that's a plus from a brother. He was so nice to ask her about high school and cheer.  It seems so weird this whole Cameron not being in high school but he's in Brazil asking Annie how she's doing.  Pinch me someone! He probably didn't realize we would already know when we got this letter that his roommate saw a picture of Annie and he wants to marry her and says he loves her.  Now another strange thing is that it's signed, Love, Elder Jensen...(weirdo)

Halle also heard from Cam, oh I mean Elder Jensen. Before he left we tried to say we wouldn't say goodbye but see you soon.  Cameron's friend gave us this advice.
Cameron wrote: It was hard saying see you soon but it is good.  The plane ride didn't seem that long.  I slept a little so it helped it to go by faster.  There were a lot of missionaries on the flight.  Good job on the pigs, it sounds like they did good.  Have fun at school!  Hope everything is going good for you!  Love you!

He wrote to Jason telling him that he loved us and thanking him for the support. He said how awesome it was that Nicole went through the temple and that it's the best thing ever! He really loves the Sao Paulo Temple and the opportunity they've had to attend. He said when they were in Atlanta his friend Elder Rose that is from Murray, Utah left his passport, visa, and wallet on the plane.  They had to run back and it had slid on the side of the seat!!!He said that Sao Paulo was cold when he got there.  They had told him it was the coldest day they had, had in awhile.  Jason  had asked him about Brazil and he said it was pretty polluted but way pretty and green.  He said it is hot but not too humid.  The first day at the MTC they didn't do very much but after that they've been very busy every day 6:30 to 10:30!  They eat the same things every day and that it is like a buffet.  Soup, bread, ham sandwiches, rice, beans. chicken, and beef.  He still stuck to the his companion was weird but he did mention that he was smart and that helped.  He is very close with his district though.  The names he mentioned that were his close friends were; Adamson, Camejo, Morrow, and Hernandez.

In Cameron's Words:
P.S.
My Brazilian roommate wants to marry Annie.  Today was his P-day and I asked how many girlfriends e-mailed him.  He said no girlfriends, I love your sister.  Every night he says I love your sister and calls me his brother-in-law!
